Uber is now crediting riders for late arrivals. Previously, Uber Pool would stop searching for new passengers once the expected arrival time reached the “no later than” time.
Uber pool gives two estimates for arrival time. One is a little optimistic, based on average traffic for the time and not picking up any more passengers besides those already scheduled. The second “no later than” arrival Uber Pool estimate is accurate a high percentage of the time, but not 100% of the time.
When I was 10 minutes later than my “no later than” Uber Pool arrival time, the Uber app went from apologizing to offering a $2 credit on the next Uber Pool ride as in the image below.
